Body
The project "Body" (originally titled "Corps" in French) is a conceptual artwork inspired by a passage from Jean-Luc Nancy’s book "58 indices sur le corps et, extension de l'âme":
"Le corps est matériel. Il est dense. Il est impénétrable. Si on le pénètre, on le disloque, on le troue, on le déchire."
("The body is material. It is dense. It is impenetrable. If it is penetrated, it is dislocated, pierced, torn.")
The work represents precisely this "body" described in the quote. It does not necessarily belong to a living being; instead, I aimed to symbolize the aspect of destruction of any kind of body.
Dark silvery tones, torn blanket fabric, and twisting wire illustrate the transformation of the body’s state — its deformation and destruction.
